This is a vintage pre-CBS 1964 Fender Jaguar. It was originally Vintage Sunburst but has been stripped for a natural look. True to specs, it has a clean Alder body with a 4-bolt maple neck that retained its original finish. The neck plate is stamped with Serial# L26092. Upon removal of the neck, it is end stamped 1DEC63B, detailing its date of craft as December 1st, 1963 and "B" for its neck profile. It has a rosewood fingerboard, (including original ceramic dot inlays) that has the original frets showing medium wear. Original tremolo, original tuners, original pickups, original pickguard, original bridge and saddles, original everything, all in working functional condition. All parts of the electronics are original including the switches, cloth wiring and pots / caps. The pot codes read 702125 / 3046408, indicating assembly dates in the 8th week of 1964. This guitar has never been modified or altered in any way! If one was to sell the parts piece by piece, they could potentially get over $2,000 for the pots (which could work great for a vintage Tele or P-Bass), neck, tuners, and pickguard alone. However, I'd prefer to do it justice and keep it intact and in its original state of glory. For Jaguar fans or any fan of vintage Fenders, this is a true find. Most importantly, it plays and sounds excellent! The small frets and vintage tremolo give it that classic feel and vibe, while the pickups are still running strong and can mimic all of the surf tones that made this model famous. Don't pass up the opportunity to own a piece of American guitar history. Case is also original and in great condition. Thanks for looking at my auction. Bid with confidence - I have 100% positive feedback.
