FENDER JAGUAR 62 Reissue USA V101895 w/OHSC,Accessories and Parts
Near-mint early 2000s OLYMPIC WHITE(not fake yellow),couple faint dark "stand stains" on bottom(pic 5),super-clean,no fretwear,no damage anywhere,shines and smells like new,case too with keys,manuals,strap,bridge cover,etc.Springy tremelo action,arm stays put,trem-lok and bridge mute functional.Neck shape is exactly like a pre-CBS Jaguar,remarkably accurate.Perfect setup w/11s. Weighs +/- 9 lbs;heavier than a Strat,but lighter than a Les Paul Custom(average).
The first run of the American Vintage Jaguars and Jazzmasters were fitted with the 90s RED TORTOISE SHELL pickguards,a much more realistic looking color and pattern than the fake "aged brown" in use since 2002.Check out pics 2 & 6;VERY NICE!Original owner wanted that ghostly look, and put on a mint green(Genuine Fender)guard, which also looks great.Fortunately both were/are included.
Some connections redone in tracking down a short, which turned out to be the upper switch gone bad;it was replaced with a factory part, now the upper controls provide the treble-cut range as intended.A series/parallell switchplate came with this guitar;it appeared to be original solder. This setup offers two useful benefits... 1)flipping both switches down doesn't shut off the pickups, and 2)they get LOUDER because they are put in series, giving a natural output boost with that clean, bright Jaguar tone.Switches up work the usual neck/bridge/both,and the tone switch works either way.In case you want vintage-correct switching,an ORIGINAL NOS FENDER FACTORY switchplate is included(pic 4).
Fans and participants of SG101 website and upcoming Surf Guitar Convention take note of this serial number...V101895,THE Surf Guitar 101.This nice Jaguar is ready to play for all those summer surf gigs, with extra parts and accessories and STILL hundreds less than new($1699)!
USA bidders only, please.Local pickup/purchase welcome (SoCal).
